Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel was shot in the arm during an attempted robbery on May 25th.
The incident occurred at 8am near 22nd and Sigel Street (the street name responsible for his rap moniker).
According to Sigel, who last his wallet, watch and other items in the incident, five men and two cars were involved the calculated robbery. The vehicles surrounded him, boxing him in, whilst a bearded man wearing jeans shot Sigel once in his right arm.
Sigel was able to drive himself to hospital for medical treatment, an institution he later checked out of the same day. He left the University of Pennsylvania Medical Centre with his arm in a sling and a towel covering his face.
After leaving the medical facility Sigel headed to the studio to finish recording his latest album, The Bad Guy. Sigel is also planning to release an untitled track this weekend.
Police have no suspects and are currently unsure of where the incident actually took place.
Although Sigel served a brief stint in jail for missing child support payments, he narrowly avoided a longer sentence last September when he was acquitted of attempted murder charges.
