George Clooney is right up there with Adam West, as the worst Batman's ever.



I think he got typecast, or just sat around waiting for Beetlejuice 2 to happen

west wasn't bad; he was campy. he was great at it, too. that's how he was supposed to be. and he did it so deadpan it was incredible.

clooney just sucked, as did both of the schumacher films.

keaton's great (he's had plenty of great movies other than batman, but i think that was his best--that i've seen anyway); and i think they will be doing a beetlejuice 2, or at least they've been saying that.

remember when Keaton started doing more supporting roles in the late 90s.

there was some good films too like Jackie Brown and Out of Sight, which i think is the same character.

i checked out imdb to see what he has been up to this year.

its quite a worry he is doing voices and TV appearances,
it thought he had a great range.

other favourite Keaton films of mine was MULTIPLICITY he was fantastic in that, also WHITE NOISE was good, until the shitty ending.

^^^yeah don't forget Mr. Mom, The Dream Team, Beetlejuice (even though I'm sure you were taking that into account), and My Life, which is a great movie.

I still gotta see Night Shift and that one where he was a drug addict; i heard he was great in that.

Tim Burton's Batman was better than Batman Begins, but I think The Dark Knight will take the cake.

^^^i agree with ruk. not that BB was a bad movie; it wasn't. it was incredible. i just think the B89 was great in its own unexplainable kind of way. i think it would have been a lot better if it was a stand-alone movie, not tainted by those sequels.

well, i guess it's just the sentimental value for me. see, before that (i was going on 8 when it came out), i had exposure to the character, but not much. and then B89 came out and just changed me. after that I was a batfiend. i grew up on that movie and when BB came out i embraced that for the differences but also grew to love B89 more for it's unique view of the character (even if it wasn't completely true to the mythos).

I think without Tim Burtons vision of Batman. we would never get the Nolan Version.

Yes i know batman in the comics have always been dark, but Burton made it a style for the movie. you can not deny Burton's Version of Gotham City was so much more visionary then the new one. also the Film Score was great with a touch of Prince,.

i do not want to argue over which was better, but burtons version was very important and it broke the mould of comic to movie adaptions.
