what an awfully raw fucking movie! jesus, batman ROCKS. i just came home from watching it, but it's pretty tight if you liked the old batman movies, and how can you not. the dude in the batman suit (dunno if it's the same person playing bruce wayne) sounds so raw with that black mask and that rough voice thing going on. i really enjoyed the movie. one of the best ones i've seen at the cinema lately, along with mr. and mrs. smith. yeah ok, so those two are the only ones i've seen lately lol. anyone of you who used to read batman comics when you were younger, see the old movies, or who just likes some typical american hero action shit, go see it :thumb:

i agree on the first and second movie, but i didn't think that the third was that much better, and the fourth.. well i don't even have to say anything. the third movie was cool, but i didnt like how the batmobile and batman suit looked. it all looked too spaceshipey to me. doesn't mean it wasn't good seeing our old capeman dressed in black again.

I love Batman & the whole bloody concept of it but this movie was pretty shit. For one, since when was Bruce Wayne a fucking ninja? And then there's that fucking poor excuse for a Batmobile.....the Batmobile is meant to be slick & powerful like a horse or some shit, not some fucking ugly ass warthog of a machine. Also, since when did Bruce Wayne fuck with low grade chicks like Katie Holmes? The man was meant to have been with ladies with class. And Pat Hingle & Michael Gough were sorely missed imo.

IMO this Batman was made the way Batman should have been made. Batman was raw as fuck in this flick, i cant wait to see who will play the Joker in the next one.

i agree. the vehicle you see is the batmobile without his modifications. he had just gotten started damnit! and if he weren't a ninja, how do you explain how he's a superhero? i think it was brilliantly done. however, that is your opinion which i respect. but yeah, i loved it :)

He is a tortured soul who swears vengeance on wrong-doers. That right there is SuperHero material. And of course, he has a bunch of little gadgets & a badass suit to help him out. As for his fighting skills, it's always been alluded to that Bruce Wayne has some fighting skill & I've always generally considered any formal training to be a little boxing or some shit but never a full-blown fucking ninja!!

Remember, Ironman was actually a cripple, the suit gave him all his powers. SuperHeros need not have any real skills.

remember, the comics are being reinvented all the time, so i believe somewhere down the line, bruce trained in that manner. the batmobile was based on the one in the dark night returns storyline (in which it actually took up 3 lanes of traffic!). (katie holmes' character was indeed added, probably to add something fresh to the story.) michael gough, who was a great alfred, is now deceased, and the new gordon is closer to what he's supposed to be than was hingle.

Right, reinvented, I know, doesn't mean I have to like it. The day it is commonly accepted that Batman is a ninja is the day I strangle strangers to death with unwashed spandex.

Again, they can jump on Miller's dick all they want, doesn't mean I have to like it.

I know Michael Gough is dead! Jeez, you don't have much confidence in others do you?

Closer to what Gordon was in Miller's stories you mean.

The film wasn't bad, but Ra's Al Ghul's evil plot was sooo contrived. If you've got easy access to the town's water supply and you want to wipe everyone out, why dump in a chemical that has to be gasified before it takes effect? Just dump in some poison, or something.

These supervillains make it too complicated for themselves. It's no wonder their schemes never pay off.

not saying you have to like it...just stating that a majority of the aspects in there have a basis somewhere. and i didn't know that you were aware that gough was dead...i just read it as you might have thought they didn't bring him back. no harm no foul :p .
