The Oscar Award Winning drama Crash which starred Ludacris, Larenz Tate, and Don Cheadle will debut as a TV Series on Starz Entertainment this year.

Crash
, which won three Oscars including "Best Picture" and "Best Original Screenplay", tackled bigotry and racial stereotypes in modern day Los Angeles by interweaving stories of people from different nationalities involved in a car crash.

Crash, the TV show, will also focus on race relations and will run for 13 episodes, each an hour long. It will be Starz first ever original drama. Don Cheadle and Crash’s writer/director Paul Haggis will be involved in the TV series.

"This series will present an opportunity to delve into many subjects, not just race relations in LA," Cheadle said via a statement. "I don't think you can do 13 episodes on that subject and keep people interested. The challenge will be to craft the series characters in such a way as to get beneath the skin that supposedly differentiates them and create entertaining story lines that show the hurdles."

A premiere date for the TV show was not released.
