And i'd doubt anyway they'd make a car out of solid silver (not to mention solid gold). A solid silver or gold Beetle might be feasible, but an A8 is a big car, make it from solid silver and the thing would weight about 10 tonnes You'd need a 10 liter truck engine to move it, lol.

BMW always make their initial 'show' ///M models in that silver chrome. Expect the new E90 ///M3 to be in that chrome silver.
