Atlantic Records denies dropping Fat Joe

#1
After weeks of speculation that Fat Joe had been dropped from Atlantic Records, the label has released an official statement confirming Fat Joe is still well and truly on their artist roster.

The rumour was started in the gossip column of the New York Post and subsequently circulated around online hip-hop news communities. The whispers claimed that, out of the two outcomes mentioned in the title of his latest album, All or Nothing, Joe had been quite literally left with nothing after poor album sales, including no position at Atlantic Records.

However the Co-Chairman of Atlantic Records spoke out to dispel the murmurs, “Fat Joe is an icon in the hip-hop community - an artist, producer, writer, tastemaker, and entrepreneur with tremendous vision, influence, and creativity," said Craig Kallman. "We are proud to have had Fat Joe as a member of the Atlantic family for the past eight years, and we are looking forward to continuing our great relationship with Joe and his Terror Squad label."

Fat Joe has been with Atlantic Records for eight years, with All or Nothing being his fourth release for the imprint.

All or Nothing had some amazing beats. Joe's no talent ruined it. If someone had a word with him and told him to write actual rhymes and stop shouting out Crack all the time then maybe he'd sell more.

Cool and Dre and Dj Khaled were awesome on that album. And Storch didn't do too bad either. ;)
