As we hit june, the half way mark of the year in what has been a reasonable year for music 3 records just stare me in the face as being genuinely the best efforts overall. From the lyrics, to the beats to the overall product of quality. This thread isn't asking people for their opinions on what is the best 3 in their mind, im asking people to check these albums out. The later 2 especially.
Common's "Be", which has been hyped and beyond and to many lived it's hype fairly comfortable. Im loving this record.
Blueprint's "1988", still one of the best conceptual efforts in the last couple years. Musically just so dope.
One.Be.Lo's "S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M.", introspective hip-hop at it's finest. Rhymes and beats are sharp, a beautiful product of great music.
