I figured Picture Project forum is beyond dead and so more people can see it I'll post here.

Most of these were done as part of my degree:

Printmaking

Intaglio; Etching. This was my first attempt.

Intaglio; Drypoint. First Drypoint, the theme was Global Warming.

Intaglio; Drypoint. Second attempt, free choice theme.

Painting

Acrylics; Layer Project. We had to use different application techniques and use lots & lots of layers.

Acrylics; Fruit Study. Using different techniques, supposed to be more transparent in parts but didn't work.

Oils; Paper Scroll Study, using different brush strokes etc to get different effects.

Oils; Flower Study.

The Polar Bear looks so freaking sad. :*(

I loved the flowers. Looked different and unique each time.

You got good vision in photography.

and   I totally would have thought that painting was freaking finished. It looks great.

Thanks ARTSY!

Yeah the polar bear was the first thing I thought of when I heard the theme. Someone else chose the same type of image so it wasn't a unique idea but theirs was more cartoonie.

The flowers was really fun to do. I LOVE Oils, so great to work with. The middle "blended" one is more violet than the photo shows, comes off a bit dull in the pic.

I really enjoyed photography, the whole process was lots of fun.. <3 the dark room

The Malcolm one is a bit too orange at the moment. I'm doing Life Painting this Semester so I'll figure out the skin tone a bit better.. I hope. It usually takes me a few times to get the right colour. One day I will finish it.

They're all really cool. The one I like the most is the scissors, it has such a feeling of depth. It's like I can reach in right to the bottom and pick out something, after getting round lots of obstructions :D

Sorry, I don't know much about photography :( All I know is depth of field and, I love that effect.

Im happy with how the scissors turned out. It is something I'd never do on my own but it was fun to do.

The photograph I was looking at lighting, it turned out to be medium depth of field. The tree's in that park are amazing, great for photography :)

Not enough tits but for titless artwork I'm impressed. Third pic is my favorite, very nice detail.

:horny:

okay, I'm kidding. :P

Honestly, I didn't really see the orange that much till you pointed it out. Still not bad.

Seriously, the stuff you pointed out about the oils and stuff is fun. I took only one art course, but it was great. It inspired my sister to take advanced art. She's going to be an artist. I'll be sure to show her this thread when she gets up.

(No need to thank me again)...and I'll shut up now 'till others post. =)

OK lets try this again...gay ass computer.

I fucking love ur paintings/oils...theyve always looked amazing, I think thats ur strong point.

Drawings look like U could use some more work w/ animals/humans [polar bear didnt look bad...but that dancers arms looked a bit disproportionate...but that cld jus be me] - but the scenery like te ocean/waves and shit...that looked great.

Not like ur gunna stop anytime soon but keep it up lol - good luck w/ ur degree.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist.. Sometimes people will be like thats great as it is don't do anything more.. And I'll continue. It's probably a good thing.

Did you do anything more after the course? I'd love to see some of your sisters work.

& you don't need to shut up he he he..

I love the layered project. :)

Thankies ;) I'm surprised so many people like that one.

I too love the layers the most. The realistic painting of a T-rex foot at the bottom is nothing short of amazing.

Thank ya Mr Salt.. Do you mean the photograph for the T-Rexy thing?

Thanks. I've had the most experience with paint so I think I was a little less reserved with that subject. I'm changing my major back to painting.

I know what you mean with the dancer, I had cut the plate I drew the image on before I really figured out what image I was going to use so I think I let the plate determine the proportions which would have been ok if I had done it evenly. The waves/sand in the Drypoints worked out well, where Etching gives a really clean line drypoint has a velvety soft line that works better.
