Hollywood isn't the same without Arnie, that's for sure.

Quite the cast of hall of fame 80s & 90s action stars.

good question

i dont give a fuck about Dulph. the man truly is the worse 80s action star next to Steven Seagal. speaking of the pony tail bastard. i hope he doesnt show up either.

i do like the idea of the 80s all star cast, so they should get rid of jet li and Jason. keep it real retro.

Hey what about Jean Claude Van Damme.
that would kick ass!

Stallone's Expendables - Now With Stone Cold Charisma

Pro Wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin and former Buffy star Charisma Carpenter have joined the ranks of Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables, a film about a group of mercenaries who are, as the title suggests, expendable, that are sent on a suicide mission to overthrow a South American dictator.

Austin and Carpenter join a cast list that already reads like a top ten of bargain-basement favourites, and there's something inherently cool about that. The Expendables will also star Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Sandra Bullock, Forest Whitaker...the list goes on, it's actually kind of insane. Oh, and Stallone himself.

What Stallone seems to be doing here is an incredibly, incredibly smart thing: rounding up all the old-style action heroes, a dying breed, and teaming them up with a few people who could perpetuate the Hollywood staple. Heck some of them are trying already (yes, you Mr Statham). I guess that means all he needs to complete this trend are appearances by Bruce Willis, The Rock and Vin Diesel; sadly The Muscles from Brussels already turned him down.

Why did Van Damme turn it down. He's the shit. Look at him, he's coked up half the time doing that flying kick through the air.

SpoilerTv has the first photos from the Rio de Janeiro set of Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables. On Twitter, Stallone explained that he “had to chase a seaplane along a pier and jump inside which was like running headlong into hurricane Katrina.” The actor/director met with select Brazilian press before production began, and offered this insight into what the film is about:

“It’s a 1980s movie with today’s technology,” Stallone told Collider. “But in those days, the female leading character was a helpless girl, waiting to be rescued by the hero. Now we have a very strong female character that evolved to this form while I was writing the script. But except for this, yes, it’s a 1980s movie.”
