Army Reserve

Anyone done any Army Reserve stuff?

Im considering enlisting.

Here if you enlist you do a 28 day basic training camp, weapons training, etc, and then have to do a minimum one weekend a month. I already qualify as an officer but to be honest I think a weapons grunt is just more fun.

I just think it would be fun more than anything. My future brother in-law and I are talking about joining together.

If it helps its easier to get into the Army than SA Police. But the Reserves pay pretty well huh?

No idea. Not doing it for money. Id do it for free as long as they cover travel and supply costs to be honest.

You have a choice if you want to go or not, its the Reserves, they cant force you. Plus I have three passports now, so no one can force me to do anything. Im Jason Bourne lol.

If it was some humanitarian mission Id go though. I dont have much time to deploy long term though I mean I do have a career. Im more interested in the 28 day camp/fun and then just one weekend a month at the gun range lol.

Nah it's just the reserves. And like I said, I have multiple passports so no country can make me do anything I dont want to do.

I think here everyone is in the reserves right now. Even if you don't want to, if something bad happens you have to protect the motherland

the UK army has been at war with the middle east for about a decade or more. being one of the closest allies to America, our economy is booming despite the press releases of a so called recession. that's why there is so many immigrants here in the UK, because they try to take advantage of our dominating economical status

No way in hell I would join. I have a couple friends who thought the same thing, only one weekend a month. School ended they joined and just like that to war they went. So yup, fuck that.

Both my parents were born there, as far as I've been told I can get one.. Havent looked into it but when I went to Europe I was given the impression the treatment is better when travelling with a UK Passport..
