pac used to be the main artist i would listen to. now i listen to a wide variety of rappers as well as other genres (pink floyd, ac/dc etc.)

I'm definitely a fan. As I'm typing this message I'm listening to Rap Phenomenon II and was just listening to the OG Project before it. There come periods of time when I just don't listen to his music much at all because I don't wanna wear it out.

But yeah, I still listen to his music alot on top of all the other types of shit I listen to.

just about all i listen to is pac... i have like 500 hiphop albums and have copied them all and have listened through all of them but theres not many artists that can entertain me after like 5 listens of one song. pac was more than a musician, which makes his music much more enjoyable when you have a glimpse of his mind after watching things like resurrection.

not so very, since for the past few years this forum has been a 2pac/streethop forum.

i'm a fan. i collect his stuff. i'm no dante yet, but i'm getting there i listen to his music pretty much every day. before anyone try to throw the "hiphop is bigger than tupac" shit my way i am happy to let you know that i spend more time listening to other hiphop during the day than i spend listening to tupac. occasionally i'll play pac in the car, but i mostly listen to other shit there. lately, an mp3 disc with mf doom albums has been on rotation. i tend to listen more to tupac while im at the computer, for whatever reason.

Hell yeah i'm still a Pac fan, not a total diehard fanatic like i was "back in the day" lol...i guess thats all apart of growing up, i dont listen to his music much as i used to, because i basically used to listen to Pac 24/7 lol....now i can go like 1-2 days without playing his music, but he is still without doubt who i listen to most, and hell always be my favourite artist no matter what

After reading all of your replies, I guess I speak for most when I say.....
When you first hear 2Pac's music and you liked it, your automatically drawn to the man. Drawn to his voice, his image, his life and ultimately his message. Not too long after that, you find yourself becoming "the hardcore fan". The fan who wanted to know everything about 2Pac. Anything that had to do with the man you just had to have it, read it, watch it or listen to. Collecting songs, buying a Pac shirt, needing 'that' poster on your wall, watching his movies and interviews etc.

As times passes though and we do get older, the hardcore fan has exited but not the respect for the man and his music.

This board has definately broadened peoples minds about hip-hop and introduced other emcees that we hadn't and probably wouldn't have heard of otherwise (unless they became mainstream..ha)

From the admins, to the mods and all the members as a whole. Thanks for making this board what it is. I appretiate and applaud everyone's efforts, Pac fan or not....
and finally...Thank you Tupac Shakur. You are the inspiration behind this board being made in the first place.

I know that i will always def listen or check anything put out by pac not to the same extent as back in like say 97 98 but i like the fact that his music unlike a lot of other artists is so diverse whatever mood im in at the moment i can change up pacs music to go with that current mood. I think thats one of the most appealing parts of pacs music/career. As of lately ive been bumping a lot of wutang and lost boyz like enter the 36 chambers and triumph fav song this week is lifestyles of the rich and shameless...good shit
