This isn't going in do for love simply because it has nothing to do with love.

Anyway i was out at a gathering with all my best friends and a few of the femailes said that i was the perfect gentleman. I took it on with pride but i was surprised at the call. So a discussion about gentlemen began. We were trying to figure our what a gentleman is and etc.

So tell us if your a gentleman and what you're doing to be a gentleman?

Apparently these are the aspects that made me the perfect gentleman
I always open doors for my friends
During meal times i always wait for everyone to ahve food befor i start pouring some for myself.
I'm always standing if there isn't enough seats for anyone.
I speak well and call females ladies
etc

Being a gentleman is a great thing, apparently, they are extinct in Chicago and the surrounding states :(

Metrosexual = gentleman
Usually, because they aren't afraid to be in tune with their feminine side ;)

I guess when your raised with good values then naturally you mold into the role of a gentleman. Politeness and manners are qualities women find attractive for the simple fact it sets them apart from many sleezy men out there.
That is a very good point,
but surprisingly enough, i was never raised by my parents to be a gentleman. I speak proper because people that speak incorrectly piss me off. This is why this whole gentleman thing came as a surprise. There were many other things that came up as well that i do, not to be a gentleman... i just do it.

People speaking incorrectly (rude) is irritating. I guess it's a maturity thing. Those who choose to an asshole will always be looked at by others as one, and same thing goes for a gentleman. You act like a gentleman, then your seen as one.
Gives you satisfaction in knowing that also others (mostly those around you) appreciate your gentleman behaviour.
Being a gentleman not only makes others happy around you but also yourself.

^Ladies do find those things attractive, it's just that the women we're around(me and bigmack around these hoe ass bitches, ya mean, pimp shit) don't find those things attractive. It has to do with age, too.

according to whom? quit watching barney. we all know it doesnt work like they show you on t.v.

Haha. Some fellaz who are known as nice guys are a lil too nice and in the end over do it. Just gotta know when to ease off man. Ladies want to be appreciated but being way too polite can also turn them off completely. Like I said, just gotta know when to ease off.

Bigmack let me use this as an example:
my best friend had a date with a guy that was very attractive in looks. He (according to her) looked like usher (and danced like him too). So they went out on a date and this guy didn't open the door for her. Would call women bitches. Ate with his mouth open. Slurped his drink. Did little things that were just wrong (like spill a bit of hot chocolate on the table and then wipe it with his hand and put his finger in his mouth). And to top it all off, he made her pay.
Now i want to meet this guy because he seems to be hillarious and funny, and he seems to be a man's man (as opposed to a ladies man). But my best friend can't even look at him anymore.

Your right in the differences in women. Some are labled as hoes and others queens. But I like to think all women like to be appreciated in some form. Try look at it at this angle, some women have never been appreciated and in turn don't appreciate themselves. Could be a question of how their raised. Where they live..combination of things.
See any lady can be labled as 'hot', but having that extra quality of being a natural woman? Uuuueeee!!

A lot of women crave the same thing. A guy who acts like gentleman and knows how to take care of his business. :D

Now, I know 20 girls for that one girl, that would go out with that dude. Not only would they go out, they would let him hit it. But, that doesn't prevent me from being a G-man. It comes natural. :)

so ....its only one persons opinion. another woman might have found him funny or whatnot.you cant say all, some or any woman likes this or likes that, because each person is different.

i cant say all men like a woman whos quiet.i cant say all men like a woman who's talkative.
