Are internet friends...real friends?

The internet is just like a café lounge. You go in and can meet new people whatever. And just like in real life you can never really be sure who's bullshitting you and who isn't. But you can certainly make friends on it.

I mean would I consider the people I talk to on the more frequent side friends? If I ever have the chance to meet them then why not? Especially if we share common hobbies or interests.

Depens on your definition of 'friend' I guess. I'm pretty strict on that term usually and therefore I don't call too many people in real life my friend - I know a lot of people, hang around with a lot of people but it just takes more to be a friend. So, I enjoy to talk to some people online, but I don't consider them real friends, I barely consider anyone friend.

You know nuthing and still, I got to meet u in heathrow when you said goodbye. It was the best day ever. Now go check ur user cp bitch.

I don't think I could ever consider someone I had never met a close friend, though I'm friendly with some people I know online. But they're not like real life friends.

No. Internet friends are internet friends. I don't think you can be real friends with someone if you've never even met them.

Net-friends can become real friends, though.
