Hailing from the state that brought the country the Hartford Whalers, UCONN basketball, and two Indian Casinos, Apathy is now prepared to take Connecticut to the next level in the rap game.

After years of anticipation, numerous delays, and several teaser releases, the man from the nutmeg state has announced a March release date for his debut solo LP, Eastern Philosophy.

While Apathy is actually signed to Atlantic and is working on his first major release through them, Eastern Philosophy is actually being released through Babygrande Records in an effort to satisfy his huge underground fanbase first.

Apathy felt the need to release the "LP that underground Hip-Hop fans have been talking about for years." That LP being Eastern Philosophy, an album that would reflect his east coast lifestyle.

"I originally came up with the title Eastern Philosophy in 1998," Apathy explains. "To me, the title had to be something simple and profound, one which reflected east coast life. I've always felt there is something deep about where you were raised. No matter how worldly or well traveled you are your views, your mannerisms and general character is formed in the place you consider home. And the fact that it paints someone's life like that is real deep to me."

Apathy believes he has created a future piece of hip-hop history and explains a little about the album and it's lead track of the same name.

"I started off the album with the title track "Eastern Philosophy" and it sets the tone for the rest of the album. [It has] hard drums, slightly retro east coast 90's boom bap and I talk about the little details people forget about the east."

Eastern Philosophy is slated for release March 21, and you can also catch him supporting Fort Minor and Little Brother on various dates throughout their US tour.
