I ask because I've noticed that my laptop gets very hot when I do so. Though that's to be expected to some extent, am I putting my laptop at any serious risk of being damaged by this excess heat in doing so?

I use an IBM ThinkPad T43 if that changes the prognosis at all.

I do... i have an R60... and its ventilation system is good but it still gets hot...

its normal and its obviously not great for your laptop, but its not that bad...

Have u had any problems latley, like system crashes or does it just get hot without any consequences?

It should be alright, as long as you're not playing for hours and hours a day.

7 Syns - You play MAME? I nearly fucked up a whole laptop once just from playing old school "Track & Field". I was hammering that space bar like a bitch lol. That game rules.

no i used to play games like nba live and runescape but that was on my old computer..i dont download too many games cause there is a chance i can get a virus...so basically i just stick to candystand.com and yahoo pool when i do play
