Just listening to VH1 alot it seems that alotta old songs have been remade , but to be honest the classics still rule! Anyone into their oldies pop , say from the 80s?

Here Is One Of My Favs

Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes

i got the dance/house remix lying around which i will up later if anyone wants it. Speaking of dance remakes , a huge favour , does anyone have the dance/house remix to bob dylan's "all along the watchtower"?:thumb:

Oh hell yeah the 80's was awesome. I'm a big Cure fan, i like the smiths also. But i honestly don't classify 80's as oldies. I probably classify he 60's as oldies.

And bette Davis Eyes is awesome song. Our Footy team is called bette davis just because of the song (and we always joke that one of the players has better davis eyes)

yes i am really into Sam Cooke. I have been constantly listening to The Portrait of a Legend cd and it just blows me away everytime i hear it. I am not an extreme religous person and i usually blow off all of the religous songs because they all sound so corny to me, but when i listen to same cooke, things change. I respect him because of the way he sings, with so much raw emotion and it is just simply BEAUTIFUL. The man is extremly talented and can sing like no one i have ever heard

a couple of my favorites are:you were made for me,jesus gave me water, change gone come, chain gain, and cupid.

but i dont know if yall go back that far, but if you are into relaxing and taking ur mind off of the surrounding world i would highly recommend getting into Cooke's music.

I like Don McLean, influence from my dad. Really like the songs 'Vincent', 'American Pie', 'Castles in the sky' and 'Bronco Bills Lamenent'....
Also my favorite singer of all time Tracy Chapman had her best stuff back in the day....Also old R.E.M is really nice, but the first couple of albums only.
coinciedently the last days before Pac died he listened to Don McLeans song 'Vincent' over and over....try listen to it, put yourself in Pac's shoes and you'll understand much more about Pac and his lighter side.....
