nothing really went to plan. i was duped into going to this house/street party...which ended up being filled with middle aged people and little kids - so i was slightly perplexed as to what the hell was going on ...there was no real party. then me and my friend ditched it and caught a train to the city - after midnight, and after the fireworks display which blows because i initially planned to see it. the city was shit anyway - too many overwhelmingly intoxicated people stumbling over garbage bins, people's faces all cut up from vicious brawls, and wayyy too many thugs. also a few racist slurs were hurled at me while i was walking through the city streets, which did nothing to alleviate my already sour mood.
what it just made me realise is that the club scene in Sydney is shit. I don't know if it's like this everywhere but the behaviour of some people disgusts me...i always hear these people trying to start fights and shit, and it just seems as if theyre not clubbing to have fun but to just stand around and look tough. that;s why it's better to stay local. maybe the clubs in melbourne are better, right salar? then again i usually hit the hiphop oriented clubs...
tho i did meet some funny english dude @ 6 in the morning and the conversation was pretty funny.
anyway, if your new years eve was shite, share you story.
