I thought that making a thread would be a good way of dicussing or receiving news updates about artists who have been out of the limelight for a while or have just been inactive.
so here's my list (keeping it short at 10) (feel free to list your own, then people can inform you if they have any info):
1. MC Ren - wasnt he meant to be recording a new album? he said he was fed up with the state of hip-hop and was going to release some real ish.
2. King Tee - i think i read somewhere that he's finished his new album and waiting for release, or he's almost done. can anyone confirm this?
3. Pharoahe Monch - Internal Affairs, grat album. Desire, even better. I dont want to wait another 7 years for a pharoahe album. on wikipedia it states his new album "W.A.R. (Let My People Go)" was set for a spring 2009 release - any more info on this?
4. Kon Artis/Mr. Porter - is he doing anything else besides working on detox and producing beats/ghostwriting?
5. Mack 10 - wasnt he meant to be working on his new album, "soft white"?
6. Obie Trice - Any new info on "bottom's up"? he's released numerous songs now.
7. Stat Quo - released a number of mixtapes which i have been very satisfyed with. is he still releaseing "statlanta" or is the project going to be retained by aftermath, meaning he will have to make an entire new album?
8. Cashis - "Loose cannon" album which has chenged its name to "the art of dying" was supposed to be out ages ago, any info on when its going to be out? wiki just states 2009.
9. Talib Kweli - was listening to his reflection eternal album with hi-tek 2 days ago. dopenss. whens the new one coming out and is he doing any solo projects. i recommend you guys to check out the song "gettin my grown man on" featuring little brother. laid back song man. i love it.
10. Young Zee - is he even acgtive anymore? i need to hear some of his new stuff.
