I started off with a Honda Accord LX 96, but it got stolen, so I won't fuck with Hondas for a while.

I was thinking Mitsubishi Eclipse.
(Not the one in the picture) but I seen a similar Hatch Back, 2001 GT for $5000.

Basically, something sporty, or economical and kind of cheap too.

So cars around 99-2005.

What do you guys think?

Any recommendations?

Whats your budget? If you're low on money, but looking for something that will last you, and don't worry too much about how the car looks.

Hyundai's and Hondas are your best choices.

Hyundai Accents and Honda Civics specifically.

Mitsubishi's tend to have a lot of problems, especially now since they're having trouble not going down.

2006 Chev Cobalt is good despite how crappy American cars are. Also looks a bit more sporty then your average Accent or Civic.

please dont get a eclipse

5k your budget???

i would still look in to hondas..
an older maxima maybe 00-01
impalas are pretty clean for around that price range
a clean ass MC also the newer one not the "youve gotta be a gangmember" one from the 80s

Let's just say that they weren't quite the best cars made by Mitsubishi. Build quality was decent, but the ergonomics of the car was pretty shitty.

But if you wanted a second-gen Eclipse, then I would actually give you a thumbs-up for that one... I saw one on the freeway last night when going to San Diego, I was reminded of why we all fell in love with those cars in high school (aside from the fact that it eventually got used in The Fast and the Furious).

2001 Eclipse GT is a great choice. I owned one, and loved it. I still think it may have been my favorite car, and I've owned a lot of cars. Make sure it is GT though, because I've driven GS Eclipses and they aren't worth dick.

Get an old BMW. There's an E30 3 series in my area for 700 bucks, and in good condition. A buddy of mine bought one two years ago for about $1300.
