I'm teaching myself and sometimes it gets frustrating AS HELL! Does anyone else play? Want to play? Let me know your thoughts if you do play, on how you feel about it.

I get guitar lessons from my brother and one of my guy friends. In the beginning, I used to think that playing guitar would be easy and a blast just like on T.V. but as I got around to actually playing it, it was really frustrating. My fingers are small and kinda stiff so it took a lot of practice to make the notes sound right. Then on New Years day, I got a purple electric guitar from them:) Now, they say that my playing skills are about an 8.

I play. I have a red Squier Strat.. i need to get a new amp though. Been playing for about 8 months or so now.

I can play a lot of Nirvana and Prince stuff, some Radiohead, some MJ. Also some metal stuff, some Soulfly, Sepultura, Disturbed, Korn. Nothing to complicated yet, though, I'm still trying to master and remember all the chords.

What guitar do you have?

I have an acoustic guitar. I don't know exactly what it is, truthfully. My brother bought it like three years ago, hoping to learn how to play and he never did. So here I am with a practically brand new acoustic guitar for free.

yo... yeah i play guitar.
Have a cort acoustic. Have a martinez flemenco guitar too. I only picked it up last year (janurary) and i've been playing it heaps. Mind you there were plenty of breaks in the middle. but i just love it. especially sincei got the cort for my 21st.

Reason acoustic is harder than electric is that acoustic you'll have to push the strings down harder. But move from acoustic to electric and you'll be flying. I think everyone should learn to play on an acoustic before they move onto electric.

i can play alot of stuff. Nirvana songs are easy. ummm... oasis, smashing pumpkins, radiohead, greenday...
I know way too many people who start... and then just stop. So have a bit of determination to get better.

I've recently been making my own little tunes. I'm not that good at it. But i'm getting there. I made a little intro to a song which was recieved very well. And i also played for a mates band when one of the guitarist was away. Love it so much i call it my girlfriend.
Check out the photo gallery and there will be a picture of her
