Did anyone pick this book up or hear anything about it?

I read that a lot of lyric transcriptions are pretty bad and inaccurate, often missing the context and the wordplay. But a lot of people have said good things about it, like Common, Chuck D, and Cornel West.

They didn't go over the lyrics word for word. They're just endorsing the idea of such an anthology. It's important, but if the authors didn't do their homework and get things right, as has been extensively pointed out, then this book gets a fail until they fix it.

Yeah. I'm still interested to read the essays though. I might go to Barnes & Noble and browse through it a little bit. It can't be just a collection of lyrics.

I'll copy every song from Ohhla and get it published. Then We can count the monies. Proof reading is for losers. Mistakes add to mystery.

Or...

No thanks.

Yeah but he's not killing anyone though...and I don't know, he seems mad for no reason. He's like our own Kim Jong-il, but without all the power and ability
