CM9 RC1 came out today. I've been on the nightlies for a while already.

Also, what's that thing that has to happen for a new Android release to be official? Oh yeah, this also happened today :D

Are the CM9 released signed? CM 7.2 doesn't seem to be. Not sure why. Is there any security risk (or risk of any kind) of flashing a ROM that isn't signed?

I don't know whether to flash cm9 or not....!

I am happy with the Samsung ROM, minus the touchwiz, and with the Holo launcher. Plus adding the Siyah Kernel has given me 3 days battery life, and obviously there is no lag with the CPU and RAM on the phone....

Edit - I've decided CM9 brings me nothing new. I have all those customisations already, and I am happy with performance and efficiency.... I will upgrade when Cyanogenmod bring JB to the table, as they are bound to be quicker than Samsung.

Also... A question... If I accept a system update from Samsung, will I need to re-root, or re-flash my kernel.... Or both?

My phone has had shitty dev support for some time now. This past month it has grown considerably, which is surprising to say the least considering how old it is. It's the galaxy s 4g by the way. Anywho, it never even had a working, well stable, cm7 rom. As of today I have cm9 and aokp ics ha, it's crazy. This might hold me over til novemberish for jellybean devices. I think i'm going to wait it out. quad core s4 and the new adreno plus 4.1 should be amazing

This might get announced. Possibly called the Nexus Q? Don't know what it is. A media streaming device maybe? Keynote starts in 10 minutes!!

^I can't see it being useful for me though. But that's the case with most things from Google. They have a lot of ideas and most of them are like "Why would I need this?", but some grow on me.

Google Nexus 7 looks like a great deal for 199$.

I don't think it's something I'd get now as well. But I can see a lot of people who would find it useful.
People that live in condos specifically come to mind, or those that generally have a lot of people over.

Bitches love the Q.

Look, even the Google+ tablet app looks smoother and loads feeds faster on an Ipad than the Android tablet-optimized one.. on a Galaxy Nexus 7 with freaking Android 4.1 that mainly focuses on UI and performance upgrades. Funny.

The Q, to me, is shit.
What is the point of that. There are several better music streaming devices out there already. Squeezebox, for example. Are we watching Apple here? Or have I missed the point?

Wow. Nexus 7 looks dope as fuck. And only £159 here in the UK. Nexus Q seems very cool. Jelly Bean has lots of welcome additions by the looks of it.

Project Glass stole the show today. Phenomenal. Probably the most exciting thing to happen in consumer electronics in the last decade.

Google Now is phenomenal. They just took a big shit on Siri with the automation, the voice replies and Knowledge Graph functionality.

I like the look of the new Events section in G+ also.

Got my Prime today (for £400). I like it.

The Nexus 7 is great value, although not for me as I don't really see the value in a 7" tablet.
