They're saying all these patent wars will force Google to refresh Android and give it a whole new look. Nothing wrong with the current look, but that's always a good thing.

sorry to hear man. that's one of my biggest fears every night. being late for work cause of shit like that.

perhaps something with it being rooted..?!

I dunno. Never had a problem with my i9000. And I rooted the S3 the day I bought it. Seems a bit weird for it to die a couple of months later...!

I am going to take it back to Voda and not mention the root.

I think it's a hardware failure. Does the LED light blink or anything happens once you plug in the charger?

If no, that's almost definitely a hardware problem. If it was because of the root it'd be stuck on the boot screen or turn on for a second or something.

Yeah. That was what I thought too. No LED activity at all...!

I thought possibly, the battery had a major malfunction, but tested it and have 4V.

Really? Looks like I won't be getting the S3 after all. Gonna get that iPhone 5 in late-September.

So today, I went out and got....

very very impressed with it. Jelly Bean is fucking amazing. On paper it doesn't seem like a huge update, but use it and you'll understand. Even ICS doesn't compare to the fluidity, the responsiveness, the UI polish and tweaks, everything adds up to a vastly better experience.

I think it's rare. I have googled and posted on XDA, and haven't found anyone else with the same problem. Iphones also have just as many issues as the Korean phones.

I know, I know. I'm just trolling. I am considering the iPhone 5, however, but I know this S3 situation is relatively isolated. You're the first I've heard.

I've been thinking about picking it up myself. Thanks for the short review.

I'm considering getting one when I'm in the US too. 199$ for a Tegra 3 tablet that seems to be of decent quality.. yeah. That's 200% cheaper than swapping my current phone for the cheapest Tegra3 phone, lol.

And I don't need more than 8gb of storage. So on paper it looks perfect (the screen could be an inch bigger, my only wish).

Funny how only ~15% of peoples' phones are running ICS and it only rose from 8% over the last 2 months because of a huge crop of new ICS devices. At the same time over 20% of people are still running 2.2 or older. 60% is Gingerbread and the remaining few percent is Honeycomb. Something needs to be done, Google.
