Id hope it doesn't, the numbers are high enough as they are, Also the poll may not be accurate but it sure tells us something

If that same survey was conducted with as little people as this one, it's still as unreliable as hell.

Look, put very bluntly, there's no way in hell i'm going to trust just two very limited polls. That's not to say that the average American probably doesn't know jack about geography, but that's not the point. What pisses me off is that you use a shaky and unreliable source to prove your silly point.

Sigh pointed out that 510 out of 230 is very not accurate. You hopped on his nuts bagging on him that it's 300 million these days. I reaffirmed Sigh's point. 510 people is still not enough to get an accurate picture, be it 230 or 298.

For all we know the 510 could've been picked from the dumber Americans. So we can't assume these numbers will increase if they polled more people.

Other than that, you're right. We can't assume it will decrease. As such, I don't assume it all. I'm just saying that it's not an accurate study nor an accurate poll.

nah it wasnt offending, ill admit i came out mad cocky with my post and everything. You just put me in my place with the detail fact. I did mention in the post following that, that I was prolly off with details n shit. Either way its awite :thumb:

Yo. Im an American, from Ohio. This poll couldn't be more on point. See the thing is, too many Americans don't give a fuck about anyone else but us. I see it everyday. I work at Kroger, im a cashier. I know u dont care about that, but there is a point. Just yesterday I had a couple come through my line that spoke a different language. Not sure what it was, but it was one I have never heard before. Anyway, the customer spoke both english and their native language. This particular couple comes through my line almost everyday im there, just buying dinner for that night, or maybe a loaf of bread. They are great people, kind hearts, smiling, living their life happy, just going about their daily business. Now, before i could get a word out to the next customer in line she blurted out, "I couldn't work in the public, you need an interpretuer to even understand what they are saying" Then she chuckled to herself.
I just looked at her like what the fuck is ur deal? Complete silence. I wasnt the person she was downgrading and i felt disrespected.

A lot of americans think theyre shit doesnt stink. Look down on everyone that is not american. Disrespect another persons culture at the drop of a dime, without giving the common courtesy to actually get some information on the person they are making fun of. I see it everyday, im stuck in a Republican, conservative state.

People in ohio are about 2 things: Beer and Church. Ohhhh the irony.

Oh yea heres another story. In our entrance way to the store, there were people praying. A customer came through my line, extremely pissed off because the people were down on their knees praying. She wasnt used to it, and it wasnt what she believed in her own life, so she took it upon her self to contact me and then 2 managers to get these particular people to stop praying. Point is A lot of Americans are stuck in their ways and believe only they are right. If you have different views on the world, religion etc...a lot will automatically write u off.

Note. There are a lot of Good Americans out there. Some of us just want to learn about the world, instead of Judging it.

But no this doesnt scare me a bit.

People from anywhere are the same. People in Europe look down on a lot of Americans, as you can see from this thread/forum, but we do the same. I dont want to call it pride but of course you are going to think you are better than the next, why wouldnt you.
The thing I find funny is that most of the time it is foreigners trying to point out Americas flaws more than even talkin about their own country.

I feel you, I used to be a cashier at a drug store and sometimes there is a lot strange tension. The thing about America is that it is cut-off from things that are happening world-wide. And it's worse in places like Ohio, where there are bubbles around every town.
