does anyone here in the states hate the laws they have governing the sale of liquor??? Like how they can stop selling liquor at the bars and clubs at 2am (for most of the country). Well here in New Mexico( I swear it's the worst place for driving ) they stop selling beer and alcohol at midnight ( this is at gas stations, liquor stores etc ), and at 2am at the bars. which means i have to stock up on beer and no more late nite beer runs, damnit man....

Now the reason I say this is because i just got back from Las Vegas, Nevada. Where in Clark County you can walk freely on the streets with an open container, get drunk and piss off the cops for no reason, where the sale of liquor is permitted 24hours a day, 7 Days a week, where it seems like the clubs and gentlemens clubs never close....damn i luv Vegas....I miss Vegas.....fuck why'd I have to come back....

sounds cool , im going later this year !! it is the city of sin though isnt it ?? but what about your laws sayin you have to be 21 or something to drink in the u.s. - thats gotta be worse hasnt it ??
u.k peeps can start " legaly " at 18 !! BIG UP BRITTANIA !!

On the continent you can start at 16. Here (Ireland) it's 18 too. It's kinda funny that in the U.S. you can be trusted to drive a car at 16 but not handle drink until you're 21.

Are you serious WayCide - they have laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol after 12?? That's way harsh, lol. As far as I know they only restrictions we have are the minimum age (18) and that they cant sell or serve more alcohol to notably intoxicated people... although thats pretty hard for the bartenders to pick up on, unless a person is really fucked.

in quebec you can't buy beer after 11 and before 18(well...depends where you go, somewhere it's 12..and it still depends if you look old)...but who cares, quebecers are a bunch of drunk ppl, they get two 24 cases and drink that in one night

When you're drunk, you can't make right decisions. When you're driving, you're not doing any damage. I mean, you can't make an argument out of that. The Army one that 2pac used is much better. :)

American Laws on Alcohol!!!

Shit, American Laws suck. Ya all have no idea what drinkin is like, sorry, it's like that. You think Las Vegas is the Heaven, come to Europe and you'll see how guys here handle it. You are allowed to buy alcohol at the age of 16 and there are no limitations. If I go out I usually leave my place at midnight or later man. I don't even hit the club earlier then 2 in the morning. So silly that you don't get no beer after 2, even through you don't have strong good beer, not to diss no one, but it's the truth. Go and check french or beer from belgium, 0.66 cl per bottle and 9% ....whatever. Since I'm 15 I'm used to drink at parks etc....I'm used to drink in public, I always did....so when I went to vegas not that long ago, it really was nothing special at all. The only funny thing about vegas were the americans acting crazy cause they were allowed to smoke cigs at the pool while drinkin a beer. So silly. If you really wanna drink, you gotta cross the ocean through.

where i live in canada u can buy it anytime u want. u have to be 18 to be legal

not really, the LCBO closes super early. Depending on the store, it ranges for 8pm to 10pm. And forget about The Beer Store. Those niggaz close at 9pm...or is it 10pm? Convience stores dont have liquor, but theyre thinking about making it legal for them to sell them shits, here in Ontario at least. Dunno which province youre from. Oh, and here, u gotta be 19 to drink legally.

Here you hafta be 21 to buy any kinda alcohol, beer, liquor or otherwise. You also have to show ID if you look under 30, by law. The liquor stores close at 7pm and the bars close at midnight during the week and Saturdays and 2am on Fridays, unless they're private in which they close at 4am at most of em. Nowhere but private clubs sell alcohol on Sunday, it's prohibited here because of "blue laws". No alcohol is sold here after midnight Saturday til 7am Monday. Convenience stores sell alcohol at any time until midnight Saturday, but only beer or wine coolers. Liquor is only sold in liquor stores. Wine is only sold at grocery stores, which stop selling when they close, and Wal Mart, which you can buy at any time til midnight Saturday. Also in convenience stores, they're not allowed to accept torn or damaged IDs or expired IDs. They also reserve the right to refuse sale to out of state IDs. I worked at a convenience store once and I've had a few people raise hell at me because I wouldn't accept a damaged ID, but it was my job and I could've gotten fired for accepting it had it been an undercover SLED agent. They can also lose their alcohol licenses for selling to minors if caught. The county I live in is one of the few, if not the only county, in SC that has blue laws. It sucks monkey balls here.

Very true. In Bosnia and Serbia, there is no age limit, period. Buying alcohol and cigarettes as a young person is just as if you're buying ice cream. The law could have changed though, I haven't been there in 6 years. I highly doubt it, though.
