I heard some guy on the radio yapping about how this country is in the shithole because more people voted for Idol than the last presidential election. Well, that's true if people under the age of 18 can vote in presidential elections. And I'm guessing a good percentage of the viewers of Idol are youngins.

kat is obviously more marketable, but i have always felt the show is rigged. the old man was the favorite to win. he wont sell many records or be a great big start like kelly clarkson, but kat will. she has the same appeal that clarkson and that red headed step child guy do

I don't watch the show, I do know what it's about though, becasue everyone I know watches it. And PELLA I'm pretty sure it's about who has the best voice, the best singing ability, not who's hotter. Maybe that's why every thursday I have to hear bitching about why so and so can't believe this person got voted off. I am also glad this thing is over now.

Ne-Yo will be forgotten in 2 months and hasn't even gone 2xplatinum.... Shania Twain has sold 100 million+ albums (one of which my cousin produced, it sold 20 mill, heh), and Dixie Chicks are #1 on Amazon.com charts right now....AI want sales, obviously the right person was chosen...I don't know personally since I haven't seen any of it, apart from the bit where Prince performed.
