America and the Geneva convention and the ICC

Why aren't America supportive of the International Criminal Court or signed up to the Geneva Convention? Is it because of Team America World Police?

Yeah, stopped adhering to that a while ago. 9/11, Gitmo, torture, Abu Ghraib, it was a whole big thing. Interestingly, you know who decided that the "U.S. does not torture?" George fucking Washington. But, y'know, who the fuck was he.

They're very supportive actually. But only when the court is prosecuting war criminals in other countries.
