The sample is supposedly The Champes - Tequila.

To me, it sounds NOTHING alike, can someone make a clip showing how Tequila and Ambitionz are similar?

Also, where did pac take the "I wont deny it, im a straight rydah" from. The sample was also used in Let Them Thangs Go.:thumb:

lol what do you mean where did he get that line from? he wrote it, its him saying it in the song, and they sampled it when they made the RUSD version of Let Them Thangs Go. as for the other part f your question, i dont even know what the song is you're referring to, so i'll let someone else answer that

its just you and the reason it doesnt sound like a sample that much is because the producer did a damn good job making the beat.

i haven't listened to Rydah or Tequila, but I'm playing them in my head. i've never put the two together before, but i can hear the similarities; Rydah sounds like portions of Tequila slowed down (it's pretty obvious once you think about it). i'm at work so i don't have the AEOM book in front of me, but does it say if it's a sample or an interpolation. it could be either, but Rydah sounds like a piano, and i'm pretty sure Tequila isn't, so it's probably an interpolation.

if daz used the same drum pattern that would be a sample. there's lots of ways to sample, and even more ways to interpolate without hearing the same melody in both songs. maybe the westcoast whistle melody in ambitionz is a melody being played by a guitar in tequila that's similar, but not exactly the same.

think outside the box :)

I was thinking of the notes in my head, and I think that the last four horn sounds or whatever in Tequila (where it goes "da-dan-dan-da-dan-da-dan-dan") reversed in order form the four piano notes that repeat through Ambitionz az a Ridah. Can anyone else see that?
