Amalgam Digital Set To Release Joe Budden’s ‘Mood Muzik 3′ As Prelude To New Album

#1
The hiatus is over and the ink is finally dry. Joe Budden will be releasing the official retail version of Mood Muzik 3 on February, 26th 2008 on Amalgam Digital. As a rising independent label and distribution powerhouse, the company rejuvenated the careers of several hip-hop luminaries, bringing them out of obscurity and back into the spotlight. In addition, Amalgam Digital garnered accolades for launching hip-hop’s first genre specific digital retail store.

Joe Budden is best known for the Grammy nominated single “Pump It Up” off his self-titled debut in 2003 that sold over 500,000 copies on Def Jam. A subsequent album was never released.

For the starving Joe Budden fans, Mood Muzik 3: The Album, will feature songs in their entirety and unreleased material, sans DJ voice overs. This will serve as a prelude to his forthcoming album entitled Padded Room. Both releases will be exclusively distributed worldwide by Amalgam Entertainment, LLC while Amalgam Digital functions as the label.

An advanced variation of the album, Mood Muzik 3.5 is available exclusively right now at the www.AmalgamDigital.com online store with two bonus tracks.

Regarding the nature of the release and his relationship with Amalgam Digital, Joe Budden made the following statement;

“With the Mood Muzik series gaining mass attention, this is just our effort to maximize on awareness. Amalgam understands our vision, as we do theirs, so this will be first of many ventures to come. We have a full length album entitled Padded Room coming second quarter 2008. We’re prepping for a big year… are you in the mood yet?????”

Mood Muzik 3.5? It's basically Mood Muzik 3 in a different order (minus the 2 skits).. plus 2 tracks (Last Real Nigga Left and My Life) that everyone has already heard months ago. If it gets more people listening, then cool. But to the people who are already fans of Budden, wtf? Does "sans DJ voice overs" mean the mixtape will be available without DJ On Point saying dumb shit on the tracks? If so, that's good. I don't know if I would BUY it again though. Bad enough I had to buy 2 copys already.

i tried burnin this but it comes out to an 1 hour 28 minutes on the cd way too much to overburn. any solutions?
What I did was first, take off the bonus tracks. They are nothing new that I haven't heard before. That leaves you with the 17 tracks from the mixtape and no skits. I took out the phone calls from Hiatus too. I have the beat, so I just edited the song. You can't tell the difference. There's no phone calls now and it makes the song shorter with out them. I also took the Stack Bundles verse off of Send Him Our Love. That makes that track shorter also.

Here's the Hiatus edit..
