Yeah but the thing is people have rules to break em...Specially the ones that are very little and almost mean nothing...and are easy to break.

Let's take traffic lights as an example...

When no car is driving by and you as a pedestrian ( boardmember) see the oppurtinity to cross the street although the lights are red...would you wait even tho you still risk the chance of gettin hit by a car?? No you wouldn't..You would just like any other human being cross the street because why would you wait right?

Policemen( mods) could give you a ticket 4 that but since it's kinda ur own fault if you get hit by a car you rarely see em give tickets 4 something like that...Sometimes it happens tho most of the time it doesn't...plus its a lot of paperwork ( like 4 mods to control their forum..more mods maybe?)


When you make bullshit posts and fuck up a certain vibe ur simply saying fuck you to all other members...I say alot of members don't realise that...Maybe they're a bit selfish and just want selfpleasure..say if you want selfpleasure start masturbating but read one of Ken's posts about masturbating first...

The rules are easy to break and too many ppl choose for selfpleasure..

Deleting posts is not at all a bad idea in my eyes..if that means the original question or some other post starts up a good discussion it's definitely worth deleting...deleting posts is member friendly unlike a ban...and it leaves threads open for new discussions.

One thing must be said we all sometimes choose selfpleasure over a good debate...but we should controll ourselves and be aware of the consequences...Which is what the mods and admins are dealing with now...Too much selfpleasure fucks the board up....

It might look like Im bullshitting but I think I made a pretTy nice post.

While we are talking about things like this that are annoying, can we PLEASE do something about people who can't even argue their point in some of these threads? Shit like:

is really stupid and annoying. Okay, so you don't like Mockingbird. Care to explain? Why is it apparently gay? What makes Hailie's Song so great?

It's just really annoying to see people make posts like that where they don't really ADD anything of relevance, they just pop in and go "such and such is gay, so-and-so is great!" etcetera.


Apologies for veering off the topic but I figured I'd voice my complaint here rather than creating a new thread about it or something.

That statement still wont justify idiocy, which is what the issues are based upon. It is frustrating to deal with as a mod. Those guidelines are not there because we subconsciously want to give people the self pleasuring right to break them, (I think it is based on a lack of thought though rather than self pleasure), they are there for a reason and the inability to appreciate that, whether through immaturity or whatever, is what is driving most of the problems, imo.

Yeah ya know I didn't mean the guidelines were here to break em...Although I kinda made it look like I meant that..Im sorry4 that..

But ok I meant Whatever is written in those guidelines doesn't really matter. people will break them neway...THe question is how long will other members ( including mods and admins) tolerate such behaviour from other members... Me as a member am gettin sick of the constant beef in streethop...Actually I dunno what else to do but blame another member for bringin the beef back to streethop...Im actually telling the truth when I say it was pretty quiet and peaceful in streethop till this member came back..It annoys me because of him threads get locked and that means he and the members who reply to his BULLSHIT...take away the oppurtinity for the regular member to reply to the topic.

This is exactly why deleting posts is not a bad idea at all! Delete the post with the most hate in it and let the discussion move on....

Youve got to keep in mind the ages of posters here too - just like younger kids are generally less mature in real life, they're also less mature on the board. Cant expect a 13, 14 or even 15 year old to have deep things to say all the time. Not all younger posters, btw.

But yea, just increase the number or supermods or even mods. More people to keep an eye on things so silly comments are stopped before it gets out of control.

I volunteer to get my supermod powers back :D

It's not about depth though, regardless of age, it shouldn't be difficult to avoid the temptation to freepost or start beef. Emphasis on the shouldn't because it does appear to be too difficult for some.
 
BTW my thread has been so misunderstood haha. I wasn't talking about freeposting and all that shit, just bad replies.

ie:

Person 1: ready to die is better than all eyez on me
Person 2: biggie will never be better than 2pac!!!!!!

Reason for my annoyance: Person 1 never said Biggie was better than 2Pac. Person 2 is pulling shit from his ass and replying to something that wasn't there.

And person 2 isn't always just some random idiot.

I get what ya sayin and ya got a point but i think its gettin taken a lil far especially cause of the fact i know you will go harder on the newer members (not that i feel like im one of the people you talkin about) cause ive noticed that some of the "OG" members get away with alot more than the new members though ive seen new members put suttin stupid and people go guns blazin on em but then i see an "OG" member put suttin jus as bad and they jus get away with it
 
It pisses me off too, its like some members dont even read the post they just see the title and go on a rant, either that or they dont know how to express their opinion.
I think the solution is to delete irrelevant posts, if its a good thread I dont agree in closing because there are people who can have a discussion without being annoying. And reading a good thread to find its been closed is more annoying than the comments. But then mods cant always get to the posts in time, eventually people will get the idea to stop posting stupid shit. *goes and prays*
