Itd be a better investment for you, if you aint got the money for an MPC. It basically performs the same functions, as far as an MPC registering notes goes. Now, of course U cant sequence songs and add effects and all that shit. But if U got a program to go with it [Reason, Acid Pro, etc] then itll work out good.

yeh this will definitely inspire some dope drum sequences.
if you got the money, get a workstation or midi controller with piano hammer action for the synths, you will feel melodies just jumping out. really cool shit...

My homie picked one up, he loves it - said it registers just like an MPC. I dunno if it automatically quantizes notes or not though.
