Thug Life could also be - beating up Allen Hughes, beating up the sound man on a Digital Underground set, beating up Orlando Anderson, beating on His (Tupac's) enemies through/in his records. He was a socially agressive person, to say the least.

I guess thats the hypocritical side of Pac. On one hand he is pushing for Unity and the Black Community coming together and strengthening their value. But on the other he was willing to beat another Black Man knowing what kind of life he has, and creating more division within Gangs in LA atleast (through the Death Row (Bloods) connection and Orlando Anderson (Crip).) He was paranoid so he needed a crew that would be as tough as him. Suge had the power to take the brother under his wing, and in return his label becomes more powerful and overtakes Badboy. Plus a shiiiit load of money! Pac was able to go on a rampage and rip up the industry because of this. No other label would of been able to give him that freedom of expression and anger. They wouldnt of backed him up for shit, and he saw this already on the Eastcoast. The Westcoast G's were different though. And the main reason that Afeni dont like his old associates from the coast and the one's that made guest appeareances on his OG's is cuz she thinks no-one ever told this brother to stop for a minute. They loved being around him. They loved having him on their side!. They loved the EXTRA attention they were getting from all over the fuckin' world!!!! I agree. After all Pac had done he died over a chain, if infact that is who killed him. It wasnt worth his life, but theres lessons in that. Control.

Yes, I know what you are saying. I have it printed out somewhere from when it was posted up on here some while back. Pac called himself a Thug all the time on his records, even to reporters in interviews.

Remember Pac used to say that sometimes he feels like he is at war with himself? I think this is the perfect example. He wanted to be free, he wanted to be a perfect human being. But after all the drama he couldnt leave his name destroyed in the industry. He worked hard for years trying to get himself noticed and resepcted as a rapper, and all of a sudden its taken away from him during the '94 shooting/trial/case/drama. So he had a choice to make. Does he go back and make things right? Or does he accept defeat and move on with his life? Well as a matter of fact he wanted both. Tupac being at war with other people for whatever reason, is (IMO) down to the fact that he was at war with himself the most. He didn't wanna be the 'Bad Guy', but his inner conflict brought it out of him.

IMO - Fighting to stay alive was not a high priority on Tupac's list of agenda's. Him being preoccupied with himself in some way (not that he was selfish).
