A Suggestion About Closing Threads

Im often seeing "why was this thread closed?" in here. Would it not be simpler to make it a rule that the mod who closes the thread must give a reason at the end of the thread to justify its closing?

Im just kinda sick of people asking "why was this closed?" instead of using this sub forum for the benefit of the rest of the board.

yes and no. i typically leave some sort of comment before closing threads, but when a lot need to be closed then i use a mass closing feature and can't sweat going in and explaining myself in every instance. when it comes down to it, even if we explain ourselves people seem married to the threads they start and will always bitch and moan when their precious thread is closed... life goes on, and the thread will be off of the main forum page within a day in most instances.

It's always good to leave a reason. But Dante explains it above.

And I agree, some people feel their thread is so important. I dunno why.
