Just built a new computer... All fine...

Except..


I have a wireless card, netgear, and a wireless router, also netgear, and a strange problem....


I am connected to the internet, and it works fine, but my little network status icon; the computer.... Is always "aquiring network connection"...


Any ideas?

even though this may sound stupid, but did you disable the ethernet connection?

probably your ethernet card is trying to connect if the internet works I wouldn't worry about it. If it bothers you so much just disable it.

It's not the ethernet card... It's the wireless connection...

I always seem to have trouble with wireless connections... On all my computers... It kick me off a couple of times a day now too... Am I alone or is Wifi just slightly pants for everyone.?

when i play online i get lag spikes caused by the usb wifi adaptor, annoys the fuck outta me but i cant be bother to spend money on a card.
