Technology A really dumb question about AIM

I have that new AIM Triton program, but i can't figure out how to add people. I go to add buddies, and a thing comes up, asking me to type a screen name in. but there is a space for a first name and a last name, even tho most people have one word usernames. anyway, every time i add a name in, it says "you must name this buddy first" WTF? I just did you retarded program lol. Anyone know how to do this?
