A powerful yet easy software program

I'm looking to make a few mixtape covers. Nothing fancy, just mucking about. And I need to do some cool fonts too.

What's a good program to use?

i wish i could help you out
all i can say is: learn to use photoshop and it is very easy. doing easy things in photoshop may be as easy as doing the same tasks in more simplified programs. you just need to know what you're doing. you won't regret it.
im sure someone else has played with some programs that allow powerful operations in a simple interface. lets hear

i think photoshop is good for u, u can always check some tutorials (@ pixel2life.com) to learn the program ... i didnt worked on fonts, dunno what fontmakers r good, u can search for fonts on 1001fonts.com

Photoshop, theres really no point using anything different.

when u figure out the whole layer idea(which is pretty straight foward) photoshop becomes very easy to learn by yourself.
