Technology A little help with burning cd's

Hey everyone, not sure if any of you could help me out but i've been having problems burning some cds. Problem is, the mp3's play just fine on my computer but when i burn them to cd the tracks come with some distorted/gargling sounds. I've tried reducing the writing speed to no avail. I'd really appreciate any help on this as it's been a fucking pain in the ass for some time now. Can't seem to find any solutions through google. Thanks.

where did you get the mp3's from?

^torrents. They sound absolutely fine on the computer. The problem doesn't exist all the time however some mp3s end up distorted when i burn them.
