Technology a good, simple, video editing program

i know this should be in tech talk but i figured id probably get a faster response here.

i need a good, but easy to use video editing program... all i need to do is chop up a 2 minute video, take the best bits and put them together to make a 30 second video.... i looked at some programs and they looked complicated as hell to use...

if anyone can suggest a good program, plz let me know.
