Producer 9th Wonder will remake the classic hip hop track "Crooklyn Dodgers" with Mos Def, Jean Grae, Memphis Bleek and turntable work from DJ Premier.

The single, titled "Crooklyn Dodgers 3," will be the first single from 9th Wonder’s new solo album The Dream Merchant.

The first "Crooklyn Dodgers" was recorded for the soundtrack to Spike Lee’s 1994 film Crooklyn with Buckshot, Masta Ace and Special Ed.

A year later, Chubb Rock, Jeru the Damaja and O.C. formed the Crooklyn Dodgers 95 and dropped "The Return Of The Crooklyn Dodgers" with DJ Premier.

Wonder’s The Dream Merchant will be released through Six Hole Records, a label owned by Desi Relaford of the Baltimore Orioles.
