to the people who was talking about the mother...the kid is eight...she isnt four she knows how to get into things...and it was a diabetic needle...not a heroin needle...and on top of that for all we know the mom could of just used it...placed it on the counter to get something real quick..and the kid picked it up...but its not to say that i dont agree with the irresponsibility of the parent..im just saying shit happens..and the little girl probably did it to kids that made fun of her..still none the less a little pyscho bitch...instead of locking her up..i say send her to a mental hospital..that will really scare the fuck out of her.

The mom wasn't a junkie though. It was her insulin needle, something she uses daily and should know better than to have them where the kid could get ahold of it. I know the kid is old enough to know right from wrong but the question is, did she do it to hurt the other kids or was she just poking people with it as a joke? Alot of kids do silly stuff like that, just usually it's with a tack or a sewing needle or something like that. We used to poke each other with tacks all the time when I was younger, that may have been what she was doing, she just picked the wrong thing to do it with.

Also this kid may have seen her mother injecting herself and thought it was normal, or wanted to be doctor for a day or something. I totally disagree with handcuffing children thats only going to make them worse not better.

The article said that all but one were negative, and their not sure if the test was accurate. So theres one possibility but not 100%.
