50 Cent is upset at what he feels is a double standard in American cinema. The rapper’s movie poster for Get Rich or Die Tryin’ received criticism for showing him packing a gun, yet no one has made a peep about the firearm carried by James Bond in the billboards for Casino Royale.

50 as said, "Get Rich Or Die Tryin' comes out and they want to protest because they see a gun in my hand but James Bond comes out or Mr. & Mrs. Smith will come out with guns and it’s acceptable. You can see any kind of gun there is to see on the covers of films. You can go in Blockbuster and see every gun that was ever made.”

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, wants the film industry to adopt one universal rule regarding weapons in movie posters.

"Let`s not start with 50 Cent and stop with 50 Cent. Let’s do it everywhere else and make it unacceptable period. I would gladly join the rest of entertainment if we get there," he said.

wow... first time i'm hearing someting intelligent from 50 cent's mouth. What he's saying is true. But thats not the only double standard in hollywood, or our society in general, but its a start.

Dang, 50 just pointed somethin' out to me that didn't see. Pretty impressive, but its true though, not just in movies but in society period.

its intelligent. but even the movie was hardly disapproved because he's a rapper and he portrays life of crime like pella said.

Not really its not a good point. 007 Bond packs heat because he's a secret agent and he uses it for protection while saving the world... There's a huge difference between using firepower to save the world and having one incase your drug deal goes bad...

They're all glamorizing violence. If your kid decides that he wants a gun or wants to be a drug dealer leading them to a violent lifestyle after seeing 50 Cent or James Bond, you fail as a parent.

What about lucky number slevin? there were like four guns on the cover of that movie, and at least two of them were hired assassins. i heard no controversy over that. i heard no controversy over the cover of scarface, and he was a drug kingpin.
