4-Year old fined $280 for littering

A four-year-old New Hampshire girl is in serious trouble with the law for alleged littering.

A police officer said he saw it first hand: little Natasha throwing several toys out the car window.

Now, Natasha and her family must pay the price for her alleged crime -- a $288 fine.

The family wants the ticket tossed out but the child is refusing to talk about the incident her mother, Tracy Carter, said.

Police said they were simply following the law. As for Natasha, her parents said they will keep her car window rolled up from now on.

lol I bet she aint throwing anything anymore. It is harsh granted but the law is the law. I would have made the parents pick up the toys if they don't want to get the ticket but if they refuse then here is your ticket. If the kid was throwing her toys on the freeway I would have given the family a ticket no matter what. Very dangerous when you litter on the freeway.

I kind of agree with you GITVIHC, but this is a 4 year old girl, she doesn't understand the hazards of throwing things on the freeway. The cop should have given her parents a warning. He probably just wanted to fill his quota so he gave them an unnecessary ticket.

Yeah litering pisses the shit out of me out of everything else. Granted the kid didn't know from right or wrong but when I see adults litering it makes me want to follow them to their residence and start litering in their front yard.
