If you have Digital Cable, have you taken notice to the rating system they use on movies? I think it's pretty cool and it influences me to watch certain movies. As far as I know, most cable companies are using the same 4-star system so it's not based on the company's opinion itself. I RARELY see a 4-star movie so when I see one, I watch it. So I have a cool little idea...whenever you see a 4-star movie show up (if you can remember it) post it for other people to watch if they get a chance.

Goodfellas
Million Dollar Baby
Devil's Advocate
Titanic

i don't have digital cable but when i was livin with my parents, i used to look at the local tv guide and see what movies had 4 stars. sometimes i would be like how did this get 4 when this only got 2?

Shawshank got 3 and a half which is pathetic, if there was ever a 4 star movie that was it. Also Titanic did get 4 stars but it is NOT a 4 star movie. it is 2 and a half stars, POSSIBLY 3. one of the terribly overrated movies of our time.

City of God got 4 stars

haha i love looking at the ratings. im pretty sure the ratings are based on the "Academy" or whoever gives official ratings to movies. Lots of movies ive noticed are 3 stars...some 2.5's some 3.5's and rarely a 4.

The funniest are the ones that got 1 star and .5 stars was actually awarded to "Alligator" some AWFUL movie on 2 days ago about an alligator that gets mad and attacks spring breakers who steal its egg. LOL
