"The things that mattered to me was what my parents said to me. She can still hold her child, make him feel special and unique and all the things kids need encouragement in."

yeah, she can still say "i love you" which yes, in a way, is the most important....but the kid cant live without other stuff....that stuff, there's so much of it i cant name, but we all know what it is...that parent feeling...but just out of curiousity, what if the child need correction?? being indian and what im used to, she cant exactly slap the child or pull off a belt.....not to be funny, but it just comes to my head when you speak of encouragement...there's obviously another side to a child

"Your making it out like since she has a kid she's all of a sudden going to become clumsy and die. Which I think isnt right."

no, but there's always that chance...i honestly dont want to look back at that picture, it really scares me and its almost bed time for me, but who's holding the child?? wasnt it the father...she has her dangers, and come on, a child is dangerous...i know from my own experiences when i was a child, i used to hit my mom...grab her earrings...nose or something like that...doing it to this woman, slapping her, wow...i think she would die if the child beats her up....

" A concern yes but since we're talking after birth now I dont understand why you even brought it up. "

i said it was a concern...about a week ago, everyone was shitting their pants on whether this woman was gonna make it or not...just cuz its gone and in the past, doesnt mean there wasnt a concern...its gone, but at one point it was there...

"I never said diseases, I said heath problems. Meaning as a result of having a child causing more issues with her current disorder."

lets not be technical...what she has, im sure, is a disease....

"Eloysa Vasquez, 38, suffers from Type 3 osteogenesis imperfecta, a disorder that makes bones soft and brittle."

its a disease, ok??

and what im thinking now, is that the responses are gonna vary by gender...i see nothing beautiful in this... see as a pure luck...what she did was in a way dangerous...im sure to alotta guys at this age...my age...the only good think about children is making them...for women...well, you got the whole 9 month thing, then the little bastard stuck in your nanny for about 12 hours..you prolly know more about child birth than i do....i just recently figured out women had 3 holes, not two.....my ignorance aside, i hope that kids ok....im not hoping he dies, or wish death on him in the near future, but man, what little ms. vazquez did there is dangerous, and i really dont think special people should be reproducing, BUT THEN AGAIN, i said before, its an ethical issue and its personal as well...like abortion and such....

"Honestly if I was born that way I wouldnt know the difference so whatever life I did have I'm sure I could enjoy it. Why do you all think disabled people arnt happy?"

disabled kids are often mistreated by their parents and their non-retarded peers....i really feel i've been blunt about it, but what is there to look forward to? special olympics?? free ice cream at the end? like i said before, you're a girl...much more sensitive...but you gotta understand, its wrong for you to make more special people...

Most handicapped people are picked on, that's just the way it is... I only know 1 handicapped kid that doesn't get picked on, and then the 20 other ones in my school get shit all the time. So you know 1 handicapped guy that's becoming a lawyer, that's good, the other 99% of them are in retarded classes in school spelling kindergarten level words with toy blocks.

no offense or anything, but you shit in in school, kids do stupid mean shit. thats their thing. kids dont equal up 99% of the population. and just because it happens in ur school doesnt mean it happens in others. the numbers arent the same.

kami, dont go off and say shit like that, BOTH our points cant be proven unless we actually do a heavy poll in every place and everything.

some1 can come along and say, they go to school with 30 handicapped people and they get treated better and just as normal.

Like I said before the family will be different than "normal" but there is a perfectly healthy father and other family members that can give him a physical/sporty etc life. Its not critical for that to come from his mother.

no, but there's always that chance...i honestly dont want to look back at that picture, it really scares me and its almost bed time for me, but who's holding the child?? wasnt it the father...she has her dangers, and come on, a child is dangerous...i know from my own experiences when i was a child, i used to hit my mom...grab her earrings...nose or something like that...doing it to this woman, slapping her, wow...i think she would die if the child beats her up....

Actually she was holding him. You were brought up differently, you didnt have a fragile mother and that lil kid inside you knew that. I am almost certain that this kid will not kill his mother. That seems to be your only point.

i said it was a concern...about a week ago, everyone was shitting their pants on whether this woman was gonna make it or not...just cuz its gone and in the past, doesnt mean there wasnt a concern...its gone, but at one point it was there...

You just said that in a post quoting me, so its recent. And I only saw this thread today.

lets not be technical...what she has, im sure, is a disease....

*starts to think you have no idea what I said. I'm gonna leave that one, I have no other simpler way of putting it. Re-read if you want to know.

Thats so ignorant. That word gets over-used but what you said is. Please show a statistic to back your info.. And if disabled children do get abused thats the "normal" peoples fault not the childs. And I dont know if you actually "see" disabled kids or you just pitty them, but when I was in High School the disabled kids were always happy and bright and had a higher love of life than most other kids in my school.

Face it, it's basically the same everywhere. Think about it, most handicapped people are nothing to our society (as harsh as it sounds it's true)... go to Goodwill or something, you'll see a whole bunch of handicapped people working there, that's because it's the only place that will hire them.

Thats YOUR view on their life not theirs. You feel like they have nothing so they are nothing, but I doubt you'd get that same response from someone who is handicaped. Here there is a place that hires disabled people and no its not goodwill.

if i show/tell you one other place that hires them, the bold quote is wrong.

i can agree that maybe MOST handicapped peoples input maybe minimal in society or ur/our neighborhood. But not NOTHING. they do have input.

Sure you guys can give me places that aren't Goodwill that hires handicaps.. but you basically get my point.

I'm done arguing with you guys, you know nothing. All you do is bring up your little sensitive opinions like "well that's YOUR view of happiness" and whatever, you guys need a little breath of fresh air.

lol .. Because we dont agree with your fucked up view that people with disabilities are less than human we are sensative? Ok KAMI whatever..

its not arguing, its countering every thing you say. what ever you say there is alwayz another side. what imo is that you fail to see it. and even if you dont fail to see it, you fail to admit it. you may say there is hundreds of disabled kids that get harassed and abused. fine. i agree, but there is the same amout of kids i can show/tell you that do NOT get abused or harassed.

the main point is, this is a never ending conversation. what ever you say theres alwayz another light. you maybe ignorant to em, but it is what it is. its not sensitive opinions, its the hard fact.

so ima close this, bcuz its all just bulshit bickering and etc. the main point of this thread is to hear the story and the link is present in the first post. any opinions ne1 has, has either been discussed or said.

CLOSED.
