2Pac vs. Bob Dylan Sales

Whatsup y'all, was trying to make a bet with a buddy of mine about who sold more units worldwide. On the RIAA website, it shows pac ahead by about 2 million but i'm not 100% sure if that includes singles and/or albums that didn't make gold or platinum. Anyone have a clue as to how i can find out?

Pac definetly sold more.....and those titles include certified albums only, with all artists.

I know Pac sold more in the USA, but I highly doubt he sold more around the world.

Why do people measure Pac's sales by what the RIAA says? They haven't updated that in like 5 or 6 years, if not more.

It didnt sell 40 million......only album that ever did that was Thriller, as said in the other thread.

It did sell ALOT though, probably 20-25 million (10 million+ in US).

Nobody knows who sold more worldwide, but if Pac sold more in the US, my bet would be on him that he sold more worldwide also. You never know though. A rep from Interscope told me that Pac has sold over 70 million albums worldwide, and that was over 2 years ago, before Resurrection came out.

When you say "certified," does that mean albums that went gold or platinum? Cause that would be innacurate since my understanding is dylan released LOTS of records and so ones that didnt go gold or platinum wouldnt have been counted.

yea, a certified album has to be at least gold.
