Is shaping up to be a great year for video games.

so far we had the excellent Xbox 360 exclusive Mass Effect 2. For PS3, Heavy Rain looks like a very good game as well.

Battlefield/Bad Company 2 is a very good game by all accounts. FFXIII hasnt really lived up to the hype it seems but still looks good. Bioshock 2 is a pretty good FPS

Notable PS3 exclusives coming this year are God Of War 3,SOCOM 4 and Gran Turismo 5

Xbox 360 will have Halo Reach as well as Alan Wake (excited for this), Splinter Cell-Conviction, Crackdown 2, Portal 2, some Rare game and Fable 3

For both consoles there is also games like:

Red Dead Redemption (Looks awesome)
Just Cause 2 (again looks pretty good)
Arkham Asylum 2 (cant wait)
Lost Planet 2
FIFA 11
Half Life 2-Episode 3 (may come out this year but may be only on xbox 360 and PC since Portal 2 has only been announced for 360 and PC. cannot wait for this game)
Deus Ex 3-Human Revolution(been waiting for this for ages now. loved the other 2 games)
A new Medal Of Honor game
Street Fighter IV
Mafia 2
Dragon Age 2
Dead Rising 2 (looks like a lot of fun)
Fallout-New Vegas

all those games are scheduled for a 2010 release. Its unlikely they will all be relased this year though buts it looks like a great line up.

I've read a Hands-On preview for Mafia 2 on PC. Shaping up to be one of the year's best and much better than the first (those who haven't played the first are missing out)

^^i know but by Final Fantasy standards they arent as good. IGN gave it a score of 8.9. would have expected more.

yea Splatterhouse is a remake.

Yea Dickho i have Mafia for the PC but i never played it through. i really hated driving in the game but other than that it was good.

They said that final fantasy is really epic but has its flaws and that's why they gave it less points. I'm not really a fan of final fantasy series but I'll probably buy this one.
C&C 4 is coming out next week. Starcraft 2 is also out soon, beta is out already.
I'm hoping for a new gta game but unfortunately it doesn't seem very likely to be released this year.

Im jizzing in my pants now that Metal Gear Solid is coming to the 360, shame its MGS2 style and we'll be playing as Raiden again, at least this time its gonna be Ninja Raiden.

Be interesting to see how Snake will be involved this time round, I doubt he'll be playable like he was at the start of MGS2, but who knows, cos they're being pretty secretive bout it. Only time will tell!

MW2 was the only game from last year worth owning.

FF is coming Monday... kind of a impulse buy. I might regret it. sigh

Just Cause 2 looks good but I have a feeling that I'll be free roaming most of the time because the plot is so wack. Not to mention MW2 has ruined my ability to play other form of shooters.

Oh yeah, GT5 was pushed back for PS6 release. sigh
