There are these two great offers, Cadillac and Chevy.

Cadillac 2000 seville 4 door sedan, 130500 mill and 8 cylinder.Owner says engine runs well.

Chevy Blazer LS on the other hand is 2003, 97000 mill, and 6 cylinder. This car also runs well. But such new and so much millages is questionable i think.

Cadillac is asking 6k's and Chevy is asking 5k's.Thats exactly around what i'm planning to spend.

I initially wanted jeep, any kind. But than i saw this Cadillac and such a great offer made me think about it.I'm leaning toward Cadillac of course, but still want to know what you guys think. My friend had this kind of Chevy before and i have driven his car so i know what i'll be expecting from this car.But i don't know nothing about Cadillac. What is the downside of such a luxury car?Its 8 cylinder and probably will have me going in gas station every 10 minutes, even though owner says it still doesn't take up that much gasoline.I've also heard Cadillac is a type a car that when something goes wrong, it will take up a lot of money for its fixing.

Here are the cars:

What you guys think?

research at edmunds.com see what other owners say, look for recalls shit like that.

also see if the owner kept a history of repairs

cadillac motors run a long time. they are great cars as long as you dont mind spending a lot to fill up. i spend about 50-60 to fill up my cady depending on the gas prices. ive gone 300 miles on the interstate on one tank and still had a little over a quarter gallon. but around the city i get about average of 15 miles to the gallon where as on the highway i can get up around 21. it does cost a lot for repairs. simple repairs will be a few hundred more just because of the name cadillac than it would for a car like a malibu or impala etc. i've paid a few grand in repairs since ive had my cady which i got in like 02 but mine is a 94. with any vehicle with mileage over 100,000 you have to expect repairs to be made. big ones. as long as you keep the cadillac in good condition it will treat you right.

get the vin numbers and run them too.

as for the blazer....errr....ive test drove a few that died on me while driving. that may not happen to that one you arelooking at but the one i drove had about the same miles but they were older models.

I'd go with the Cadi, more reliable and so forth. Looks better also. Im not a big fan of Chvy's anyway so my opinion is biased but Id say the Cadi.
