Alfie Patten: Paternity test revealed another teenager is the father
The boy, now 13, believed baby Maisie was his biological daughter.
But a paternity test revealed that another teenager is the father of the child, born to a girl of 15.
Attempts by East Sussex County Council to ban reports of the result failed.
Alfie, from Eastbourne, was "extremely distressed" when told he was not the father, the judgement from Mrs Justice Eleanor King revealed.
Mrs Justice King said the mother had been taunted in the street and called a "slut" by strangers since her pregnancy.
"I was crying a lot every day," the girl said.
The story renewed calls for better sex education in England, which has the highest rate of teenage pregnancies in western Europe.

Even if she is its no reason to be saying that type of thing to a 15 year old. What kind of person taunts a pregnant 15 year old?

2 years difference isn't that big an age gap though. From what I understood she thought it was the 13 year olds baby. Not saying her behaviour is ok but I dont see how its the general public's business. At 15 in that situation it's not helping her being abused in the street, that could fuck her head up even more.

I'm saying she got this coming to her. Cheating on her 13 y.o. bf with other boys. C'mon at 15 y.o. you have the intelligence to not act like a hoe.
Obviously it's not the general public's business. As I said nobody should scream names to her in the streets. But she can't expect not to be judged. The world is like is like high school, only bigger and harsher. A 15 y.o. girl is conscious of her behavior. She chose to sleep with several boys at the same time period. I'm sure she didn't plan the pregnancy, but regardless she is a slut for the several boys she's been sleeping with and not because she got pregnant.
I always thought 15 year olds were really immature, well most of them. I didn't see where she had slept with more than 2 boys I don't see how this automatically paints her as a slut. She may have ( I dont know ) made a mistake one night and that was enough to get her pregnant, and now she gets this tag. I don't think there is enough information out there to judge so harshly.
It is sad though that the World is like a big High School.

And I dunno about teens in Australia but here in Montreal, Qc, Canada they are pretty aware about what sex is, how it can make you pregnant and how having several sex partners can make people believe you are a slut.

Just because several boys come forward claiming to be the father in a media fueled situation doesn't mean she actually slept with them. Doesn't mean she didn't either, I'm just saying.
I don't know about 15 year olds here, I don't sit down and discuss sex with them but I do know 15 year olds can be stupid sometimes. As froggy said this isn't an unusual case.

A young, impressionable child, who has obviously been raised in an environment sufficiently lacking in a strong moral fibre and values. What does vilifying her achieve? We outcast her from society, and then what?
3. Leading on from above; save the labels and keep them to yourself. The child is clearly needing some form of guidance in the right direction. She needs help. She needs looking after. What she doesn't need is to be punished. Who are you to judge? Her deeds haven't hurt anybody but herself.

why would they claim that if they didn't sleep with her?
i won't say she's a slut or anything because even thou at 15 i think you able to think by yourself,i think that's just how she's been raised...if she was raised well,with principles and all,she would know sleeping with plenty of guys at the times it's bad...even sleeping with a guy at 15 it's bad but it's just my opinion...
so artisticgurl stop being naive and play with words, she did something wrong now that's just the consequences... they say you learn from mistakes, well each one his mistakes,she did a real big mistake she will learn from it...
