I always heard it as Glas-gow, but then again, most television in Canada comes from America, so I blame America, those rotten bastards lol

Devious187 said:What British influence? Seriously, there is none, even though we're technically still connected to them, and the Queen is on our coins. There is way more American influence here than even Canadian influence. We might as well be called America Jr. Like Homer Simpson called us in that one episode when they came here

CalcuoCuchicheo said:Nope, & it's Glasgow - pronounced Glas-go', not Glas-gow. I know the Yankees like to fuck tht up, I don't know about you Canadians.

I know that they built the country, I'm just saying there's no British influence here, the only British influence I can find here is in our government, the way it's structured like the Brits (Prime Minister, etc.) Other than that, Americans have taken us over, pretty muchCalcuoCuchicheo said:The fact that most Canadians are of British or French descent. That it was the British & French who built the bloody country
For example, I have family over there. Due to their Scots root they'll know how to pronounce Glasgow. I was hoping there was more of that kind of effect to be found.
