I like this show, think its entertaining - its good that it has the latest countdown etc... i particularly like the flashback joints and the freestyle friday and the little contests they do.

what disgusted me today was soulja boy got more cheers than the notorious big.

they said let's look at the tribute to big, and he got a moderate applause whereas soulja boy got everyone shoutin at the top of their heads cheering when they announced what position his single reached in the chart. absolutely disgraceful. then again, most of them are kids.

times have changed Sandeep.. these youngsters werent around when Hip-Hop was at its best. I bet you that the crowd would applaude more to soulja boy than to 2pac too.

They must have changed their minds b/c I bet ratings went up after TRL got canceled.

yea, but a lot of brothers and sisters also listen to music what their siblings listened to. e.g. i listen to classics which were made before i was even born. same for a lot of people who listen to pac and big (songs which were made before they were born too). note: they are two of the most popular and identfyable rappers in history. but yet, it doesnt matter anymore.

i do appreciate that times have changed. change is good, but in relation to the direction hip hop has taken i think its changed for the worst. soulja boy is running things according to kids and he has so much lyrical talent. t-pain is one of the best freestylers according to rocsi. come on, she should know better to even mention that. so what if shes on the show and making it relevant - she listens to bug pun. at least mention someone better like kanye or papoose - who are also known well in todays society.
